The classroom is located in the Meadow Center’s conference room which is adjacent to the parking lot.

Class Agenda

Lunch

We will be eating outdoors at the Meadow Center. Bring a sack lunch because you will not have enough time to leave to get food.

Instructors

Dr. Robert Mace

Dr. Mace works for the Meadow Center as the Chief Water Policy Officer. He will be presenting on both the surface and groundwater resources of Texas.

Dr. Jim Kimmel

Dr. Kimmel is a former professor of geography at Texas State in river studies, interpretive environmental geography, and nature and heritage tourism.

How to prepare:

  • Please dress for the weather. We will be outdoors for the rest of the day starting at 11:30am.
  • Be sure to bring:
    • Paper and pen for notes
    • Lunch: feel free to bring picnic blankets or chairs to sit on at lunch–table seating will be limited. 
    • Water bottle
    • Thermos for coffee/tea
    • Binoculars (optional)
