Below is a sample agenda for the Insect and Herpetology class conducted in Spring 2021. This was a COVID-era class, which means lectures were presented via Zoom in the morning, and outside field work occurred in the afternoon. Normally, a class will meet in-person for morning lectures in a location near the field work.

| 12:00-1:15 | Lunch at home, travel to Nature Conservancy Barton Creek Habitat Preserve, Resaca Blvd South ,about 11701 Bee Caves Road (FM 2244) |
| 1:15-1:30 | Assemble at pavilion, sign releases, Introduction to TNC Barton Creek Habitat Preserve |
| 1:30-2:20 | 1st field activity (50 min.) starts at 1:30. Class divides into four groups of 8 people; two groups do herps, two groups do insects then switch after 2:20 break. |
