This calendar will not usually contain volunteer opportunities. CAMN members can find those in the emailed Weekly Reader, or in the Member Pages area. For more information, please contact the Volunteer Opportunities chairperson.
You are cordially invited to the
Annual CAMN Awards Banquet and Silent Auction
Sunday, February 17 from 1:00-3:30pm at the
LCRA Redbud Center.
Join fellow CAMN members as we recognize our outstanding volunteers, honor our outgoing leaders, and unveil the highly coveted 2018 Ocelot Pin!
The event will be potluck, so we ask all participants to please bring a dish to share:
A-F: main dish
G-L: side dish
Drinks will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own reusable dishes, flatware, and cups.
One of the highlights of the afternoon is the Silent Auction. This year’s event will feature handmade art, gift cards to local restaurants and nurseries, field guides and nature books, and certificates for exciting Austin adventures! Winning bids can be paid by check, cash, or credit card. If you plan to bring an item for the Silent Auction on the day of the event, please contact Lauren Young ahead of time so your item’s bid sheet will be ready!
The agenda for the afternoon is as follows:
1:00-1:30 – Silent Auction bidding
1:30-2:00 – Lunch
2:00-2:45 – Awards and Recognition
2:45-3:30 – Silent Auction Close-out
Finally, we cannot make this event happen without your help! We need many volunteers to help with set-up beforehand and tear down afterwards, running the Silent Auction, and manning the cashiers table. Can you help? Contact Lauren Young and let her know you’ll be there!
We hope to see you all there on Sunday, February 17. Veteran CAMN members and 2019 Trainees alike are welcome…please join us!
Chaetura Canyon is one of three sanctuaries owned by Travis Audubon. Conceived and created by Paul and Georgean Kyle, Sanctuary Stewards, for the preservation and promotion of Chimney Swifts, the preserve has become one of the best examples of small to medium size land restoration in Central Texas.
We will have a walk & talk presentation with Georgean and Paul Kyle, Sanctuary Stewards. Content concentration on habitat restoration and management on small to medium Central Texas land parcels. After the educational session we do 2 hours of volunteer work as part of sanctuary habitat restoration . A light breakfast and lunch will be included. No fee but a small donation to cover costs will be most welcome.
