The Grow Green series of educational materials – developed in partnership between The City of Austin Watershed Protection Department, Texas Agrilife Extension, and others – is a wealth of information for gardeners and naturalists alike. Encapsulated in this small subsection of the City website is an impressive list of informative videos, print publications, fact sheets, sample garden templates, searchable plant databases and even opportunities for low-cost, expert-taught classes for amateurs and professionals.
The series just published its introduction to habitat gardening. It’s a short video overview of the components necessary to attract, shelter, feed and water our pollinators and other beneficial or native insects, birds, herps and mammals.
And it features the work of Capital Area Master Naturalists!
